- Manifesting: Ohio requires the standard Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest for PCB transformers (>500 ppm) and a state-specific "Residual Waste Manifest" for PCB-contaminated units (50-500 ppm).
- Facility Licensing: Any Ohio facility storing transformers for resale must hold an Ohio EPA solid waste facility license if storing more than 10 units or holding units longer than 90 days.
- Lake Erie Watershed: Facilities in northern Ohio draining to Lake Erie face additional scrutiny under Ohio's Lake Erie Protection regulations. Transformer oil releases in this watershed trigger enhanced reporting and cleanup requirements.
